There are three essential groups of fiber packaging: Corrugated cardboard, solid cardboard and paperboard carton.
Corrugated cardboard is used when you are looking for stable power, and the product requiring protection. Corrugated cardboard also has good insulation and is often used as outer packaging to paperboard cartons.
Solid board is used most often in the pelagic industry, where you fill herring, mackerel or capelin in the box, then send them into the tunnel freezer. Solid board provides good strength and is ideal for freezing because it is relatively resistant to water.
Paperboard cartons are used most often in smaller packages where the product will go directly in the shop. Product will be packed in the carton packaging before freezing. Carton has a nice smooth surface which makes possible any complicated print.
